If Kelli won the lottery, the first thing she would do is buy a house on the beach in South Carolina so she could wear flip flops every day while driving to the beach in her golf cart. Kelli was drawn to PhoenixTeam, after one of her coworkers had spoken so highly of the company. Kelli had been previously working for a company where her work life was absorbing all her personal life. PhoenixTeam believes in ‘work-life balance’, and Kelli has found hers here. It was when Kelli was a freshman at Penn State that she realized how important work-life balance is. Social interaction at a Division l University is a huge part of attending college and Kelli knew for her to succeed in her major of Economics and still enjoy the social aspect of college her major needed to be something she could balance. Today, Kelli is still a season ticket holder for Penn State football!Kelli has been married for 26 years to her husband, Nick. She has a 25-year-old son, Austin, and her first grandchild Mason.

Austin spent his middle grade school years living in Australia. His mortgage career began while he was still in college. He is thrilled to be working at The PhoenixTeam where his efforts are leading to improve technology experiences for the VA homebuying experience. “My favorite thing about PhoenixTeam is the comradery with other team members-Everyone is always willing to help or assist and share information. PhoenixTeam also has such a commitment to learning and training which is great!” Austin and his wife hope to get to Bora Bora someday, but in the meantime they enjoy their home life in Jacksonville, FL raising their three sons together.

Dan is a salesforce solutions architect with an extensive background working with nonprofits. Working at Phoenix has given Dan the opportunity to be in a fulltime consulting role working on large scale projects. “Phoenix authentically feels like the whole team, from top to bottom, is committed to building an organization that builds up its people and doing what is in the long term best interest of our customers.”

Dan lived his twenties in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, and loves to cook a wide variety of Indian and SE Asian dishes. Now living in the D.C. area with his wife Michelle, they are expecting their first baby at the end of March 2021.

p>Jake comes to PhoenixTeam with 20 years’ experience and 5 Salesforce certifications. Working at PhoenixTeam has shifted his mindset on solution delivery. “The way Phoenix goes to market is not to deliver a project, but a product” “It has changed my mindset around software delivery and how to define and measure success.”

Jake was drawn to Phoenix because he is allowed to make his own path, add value to his clients and take risks that he was not able to do before. “The team environment at Phoenix makes me excited to come to work (by which I mean I come downstairs and sit at my desk) and do the work I want to do the way I want to do it.” Jake is a native Washingtonian and has a huge passion for BBQ, whiskey and woodwork. His free time is spent with his wife and two young boys.

We are excited to welcome Lauren to our team as an intern! Lauren started with PhoenixTeam at the end of August and has jumped right in with the team! Learn more about Lauren in her own words below!

Why did you choose Phoenix:
I chose Phoenix because it is an exciting and forward-thinking company that values each employee and the skills that the individual brings to the team. It is inspiring to work with skilled people who are willing to share their knowledge to help you achieve your goals!

What have you loved about your Phoenix internship:
I have loved getting to pursue my passion for information security in a real-world setting, learning from others, and of course, getting to know everyone at Phoenix.

What’s something exciting you’ve done so far/are looking forward to doing:
I have been working on security testing using different tools and techniques. I’m looking forward to continuing that project along with tackling any other projects that come my way. I am also looking forward to gaining knowledge through experience with an amazing team of people!

We are excited to welcome Avery to our team as an Intern! Avery recently started with PhoenixTeam and has already made an impact with our team! Learn more about Avery in her own words below!

Why did you choose Phoenix:
I chose Phoenix because I watched my sister create a diversity and inclusion plan from scratch this summer and I thought, wow I want to be in a place where I can do that. Our parents have always taught us how important topics such as diversity, equity, and inclusion are, not only to us, but to everyone. I wanted to be a part of a company that also valued those things and really put their money where their mouth is, and Phoenix does that.

What have you loved about your Phoenix internship:
I love the family feel I get from the whole company! Yes, my sister works for Phoenix, but truly the entire staff treats each other like family. Everything is focused on helping and supporting one another to be better. I get to learn in depth about so many topics, and there is always someone there to lend a guiding hand. I have also had the opportunity to pitch ideas and they are appreciated and heard, which is really special because I don’t think a lot of internships are like that.

What is something exciting you’ve done so far/ are looking forward to doing:
I am looking forward to working on the weekly diversity, equity, and inclusion blogs on our confluence page. We had so many ideas for the blogs we already have them planned out through the end of the year! I also love making the graphics for the different heritage months on how to be a good ally to specific communities. I think it’s important that we all try to be the best we can be to and for each other!

We are excited to welcome Jaedri to our team as an Intern! She started in early August and has already made an impact with our team! Learn more about Jaedri in her own words below!

Why did you choose Phoenix:
To be honest, I did not picture myself working in the mortgage technology industry upon graduating college. Then I met Tanya, who introduced me to the Phoenix Team. The people and culture were so welcoming, and I had an opportunity to learn more about the company, so I took it. As an international business and economics major, I know the power the mortgage industry holds in the public policy realm. I am looking forward to learning how to make mortgage policies more available and beneficial to the public while I am working with Phoenix!

What have you loved about your phoenix internship:
I have loved how everyone has asked what I want to do and where I want to work within Phoenix. I have gotten to experience diversity and inclusion, marketing, training, designing, and I am finding where I fit best. Everyone is very open, so if you do not enjoy doing something, they will help you find work in something you love which is very comforting in a new job!

What is something exciting you’ve done so far/ are looking forward to doing:
I have made some example storyboards, designed presentations and document deliverables, and I am excited to do these things for an external client—as most of my work in that area has been internal. Also, I discovered a new design site to make informative graphics which I love, and I hope to do more of them in the future!  Besides that, I am excited to learn more about the company and how we can make ourselves better by investing in ourselves and each other throughout our work!

PhoenixTeam Ranks No. 1160 on the 2020 Inc. 5000 With Three-Year Revenue Growth of 389.37 Percent

NEW YORK, August 12, 2020 – Inc. magazine today revealed that PhoenixTeam is No. 1160 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the nation,” said Tanya Brennan, managing partner and CEO of PhoenixTeam. “Our growth is a testament to our incredibly talented team that continues to delight our clients and deliver value by finding innovative ways to help address their most difficult challenges. By focusing exclusively on the mortgage industry, we’ve been able to help federal housing agencies and commercial sector clients deliver better business solutions through technology design, delivery, and implementation excellence. We’re fortunate to be in the position that our client’s success results in better outcomes for veterans, farmers, and homeowners.”

Not only have the companies on the 2020 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists as well. The 2020 Inc. 5000 achieved an incredible three-year average growth of over 500 percent, and a median rate of 165 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $209 billion in 2019, accounting for over 1 million jobs over the past three years.

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000. The top 500 companies are also being featured in the September issue of Inc., available on newsstands August 12.

“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 come from nearly every realm of business,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “From health and software to media and hospitality, the 2020 list proves that no matter the sector, incredible growth is based on the foundations of tenacity and opportunism.”

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring the companies on the list will be held virtually from October 23 to 27, 2020. As always, speakers will include some of the greatest innovators and business leaders of our generation.
