Business Analyst

The Business Analyst (BA) role will create vision documents, requirements documents, user stories, test cases, test scripts, and other documents in the software development lifecycle. This position is on a microservices and business rules-focused development team. The BA will create process models, process flow diagrams to describe workflows or requirements to be met. The BA will help engineers understand the functionality to be built and do some light UI testing.

Key Job Functions

• Write user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Create process models and process flow diagrams.
• Performing requirement analysis.
• Perform user acceptance testing
• Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
• Help coach and teach team members. Translate and simplify requirements to better enable those less familiar with the subject matter to be successful
• Lead meetings, facilitate sessions, and participate in agile ceremonies
• Understand multiple integrations including the triggers, timing, directionality, and data exchanged
• Work with developers directly to remediate defects and clarify testing objectives
• Work side-by-side with end users to validate requirements and resolve conflicts

 Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in business analysis
• Fluent in JIRA
• Familiarity with MISMO specifications in particular ULAD, UAD, UCD, UFMIP data sets.
• Intellectually curious; seeks out opportunities to expand professional knowledge and network; funnels found knowledge into continuous process improvement activity
• Team oriented; collaborates well with team members as well as customers
• Can easily shift focus between high priority tasks as required
• Proven ability to learn new business concepts and skills quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.

Minimum Experience

5+ years of related experience.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with the mortgage industry to include working knowledge of mortgage data.
• Experience with the Agile software development methodology.
• SAFe Certification
