PhoenixTeam is a women-owned small business that provides mortgage technology strategy, technology product leadership, systems implementations services, analytics, and DevOps leadership to both government agencies and commercial sector clients. In the federal sector, we serve the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Loan Guaranty Service and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Housing Program to develop and realize their most complex strategies to modernize information systems. In the commercial sector, we bring our industry knowledge to help transform mortgage technology products, including loan origination systems, servicing systems, workflow, investor oversight, electronic mortgages, optical character recognition, and document preparation. We provide leadership and support to help our clients successfully implement Salesforce solutions in both Federal and commercial. In 2019, PhoenixTeam was awarded the 2019 Small Business of the Year Award by Accenture Federal Services. In 2020, PhoenixTeam was recognized by INC 5000 as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States, and this year we made INC 5000 Regionals list of the fastest growing private companies in the DC Metro area!

MISMO requested our implementation leadership and project oversight support for its Innovation Investment Fee implementation. The scope involved creating and maintaining process diagrams, creating policy and procedure documentation, capturing and tracking RAID log items, developing the roadmap, defining key performance metrics, and managing an executive dashboard, project plan, and initiative tracker logs. Our 10+ years experience serving MISMO as a trusted advisor and our mortgage lending subject matter expertise was a huge factor of our mutual success. The major success factor was our ability to quickly analyze, assess, implement, integrate and test MISMO data standards.

When an enterprise implementation is needed, fintech companies know where to turn. We were proud to lead an OCR implementation for our client's customer, a leading FHA and VA lender. This two year implementation included an in-depth, detailed discovery process where we documented current processes, gaps and future state vision throughout the enterprise. Given the size and complexity of the scope, we crafted and drove forward a plan capturing OCR team efforts and the customer's adoption readiness. Our goal was to gain alignment and, where we needed to pivot, we could do so quickly. This approach resulted in a successful enterprise OCR rollout.

In addition to the Virtual Instructor Led training through Adobe Connect, we partnered with the VA's leadership team to record a series of 10 training modules to ensure new VALERI users had immediate access to critical training. This online training was supplemented with user access to a Salesforce sandbox where users were given hands-on exercises to reinforce the tutorial based training. Finally, we utilized Salesforce Knowledge to create a fully online User Guide which contains hundreds of Knowledge articles for VA and Servicer users. This training was instrumental in successfully releasing VALERI-R to production in 2019.

PhoenixTeam and our industry partners delivered a pilot initiative to enable API integration with lenders, collect transform and store closing data, execute both business and system rules, provide exception alerts, and build prototype of Dashboard using Microsoft Power BI. We facilitated and led discussions between several companies and divisions within the VA to engage with lenders and LOS systems, provide SAFe and Agile best practices for SDLC, provide industry standards and uncover requirements with business leaders to deliver a pilot system. This pilot enabled future work to automate the UCD file exchange between the VA and their lending community and provide analytical insights.
